Today’s featured plant is lavender (Lavandula Spp., L. Angustifolia, L. Spica) of the labiates family. Its main constituents include volatile oils, tannins, cumarines, flavenoids and triterpenoids. Its action is characterized as relaxant, antispasmodic, circulatory stimulant, nervous system tonic, anti-bacterial, analgesic, antiseptic, and carminative. Lavender’s generally accepted uses include for depression, headache, nervous exhaustion, tension, colic, eczema, burns, muscle aches, insect bites, head lice, and leucorrhoea.

Many of our products include extract of Lavender for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties, including all of the MASSAGE OILS, SANGREGADO SHAMPOO, ALOE MOISTURE LOTION (Savila y Lavanda), SHAMPOO DE LA TIERRA, HERBAL HAIR RINSE, CALENDULA SALVE for babies, and the RESCUE REMEDY CREAM.

We have available Lavender ESSENTIAL OIL, PERFUME OIL, and PERFUME ESSENCE OIL.

It is also one of the ingredients in several of our face creams: CREMA DEL ANGEL and CREMA 40 KILATES. The aromatherapy salve DESPIERTA (Wake Up) is a mixture of essential oils of Peppermint and Lavender, designed to clear jet-lag, “brain-fog”, muscle or head aches. Rub a little on your temples or pulse points when studying or at the computer. Excellent for long car rides, congestion of mucous or dizziness. Rub on the soles of tired or swollen feet.

The aromatherapy salve CREMA DE LOS SUEÑOS (Dream Cream)illustrates lavender’s versatility as a mind-clearer as well as a relaxant. Combined with essential oils of rosemary and mugwort, the Dream Cream salve is also recommended rubbed on temples, pulse points, or soles of feet, to induce relaxation, attract pleasant dreams, and de-stress.

The SPRAY DE DULCES SUEÑOS (Pillow Spray) is a mixture of Chamomile and Lavender essential oils in a rosewater base. Sprayed on the face it is a refreshing wrinkle-reducing toner. Sprayed on the pillow, in the car, or baby’s crib, a relaxing antiseptic air freshener.

Because of lavender’s antiseptic properties, the SPRAY DE LAVANDA (lavender Spray) is a favourite for travellers. Spray it on yourself on the plane to protect yourself from the recycled air while you remain refreshed and relaxed, as well as in your hotel. It is also great for long trips or sitting at the computer.

Many people are unaware that LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL is also an efficient remedy for all types of insect bites and one of the principal remedies for healing burns–sunburn and even the most severe burns.

¡Bienvenidos al boletin de La Victoriana! Cada mes nos enfocaremos en una planta o en un tema de salud y presentaremos su relacion con los productos de La Victoriana. En vista de que elaboramos mas de 350 productos botanicos en nuestro taller, se nos hace muy dificil comunicar todas sus virtudes a los clientes. Asi que, de esta pequeña manera. les podemos “presentar” algunos productos y compartir nuevas ideas para su bienestar. El tema de hoy es la planta Lavanda (Lavandula spp., L. angustafolia o L. Spica) de la familia de los Labiate. Sus constituyentes principales incluyen aceites volatiles, taninos, cumarinas, flavenoides y triterpenoides. Su accion se caracteriza como relajante, anti-espasmotico, estimulante circulatorio, tonico al sistema nerviosa central, relajante, anti-bacterial, antiseptico, y carminativo. Sus usos mas reconocidos incluyen para la depresion, dolor de cabeza, agotamiento nervioso, tension, colico, eczema, quemaduras, dolores musculares, piquetes de insectos, piojos de la cabeza y la leucorea.
