Frequently Asked Questions

These are some questions which many people have when visiting our store for the first time.

Q: What are your best selling products?

A: The most popular items are the baby clothes, (especially the christening dresses of linen and Brazilian lace), the medicinal tinctures, and all of our face creams .

Q: Where do you get all the plants that you use to make everything ?

A: We work with a large variety of plants. Some we grow in our garden at home, some we buy from local ranchos, some we get at the market, some we get from specialty growers throughout Mexico, and some we import from organic growers in the U.S. and Europe.

Q: Does all this herbal stuff really work?

A: Of course! Herbal medicine has thousands of years of experience and efficacy behind it.
Over 25% of all commercial drugs manufactured at present are derived from plant products. Because we use mostly whole plants in our products (as opposed to isolating or synthesizing alkaloids or individual chemical components), the plants are absorbed and balanced synergistically in the body thus considerably reducing the incidence of negative side effects.
Part of the underlying philosophy of our work is that the body instinctively wants to be healthy and whole and is in a state of constant transformation. Plants are living beings in their own process of transformation and interaction with the elements from which they came and, as such, are one of our most easily absorbed and utilizable sources of medicine. Plant medicines work in relationship with a person's external and internal environments, gently helping to facilitate healing.
All of our products have been extensively researched, field tested, and conform to the national and international manufacturing standards for herbal and homeopathic products.

Q: I don't understand what all this stuff is for! How do I know what kind of plant medicine to choose?

A: In keeping with our philosophy that each of us can and should learn and choose about our health care options, we offer informational brochures on various areas of our medicinal plant products: homeopathic remedies, tinctures, flower essences and we have guides to choosing the remedy based on your own experience of your symptoms. You can see more about our pamphlets here.
